Hurricane
Pre-storm:
- Installation of storm shutters
- Removal of outdoor furniture and exterior items
- Discard of perishables in refrigerator and freezer
- AC unit prep per recommendations of AC vendor
- Provide photos of completed storm preparation
Post-storm:
- Visit property as soon as i t is safe and accessible
- Provide photos of all visible damage
- Visual inspection of AC, breakers, and electronics
- Provide update on status of power
- Removal and storage of storm shutters
- Return furniture and exterior items to original locations
- Oversee any major issues as result of storm per request of owner
Exterior
*Includes, but is not limited to*
- Clear junk mail, flyers, and newspapers from mailbox and front door
- Bring inside any packages or forward per request of owner
- Inspect property for trash, vandalism, and exterior equipment theft
- Monitor landscaping
- Visually inspect siding, roof, and gutters for obvious damage/issues
- Check for signs of drainage issues, water damage, mold, and mildew
- Inspect doors, windows, and screening on windows and lanais for signs of damage
- Check for obvious pest infestations
- Check pool/spa for obvious issues - water level, leaks, clarity
Interior
- Check to see if the security system is functioning properly
- Check all smoke/CO2 alarms - replace batteries as needed
- Check thermostat settings
- Inspect for pest activity/infestations
- Inspect for any signs of water damage or unexpected leaks
- Flush toilets, run water in sinks, showers and tubs
- Check to see if the refrigerator and freezer are operating at proper temperatures
- Check AC filter - change if necessary and supplied
- Inspect all windows and doors for damage and confirm they are locked
- Check for vandalism
- Check electrical panel for any tripped breakers
